National Infrastructure Laboratory We study the long-term behaviour of infrastructure. Our facilities allow testing of structures, components and materials over a range of scales. µ-VIS X-Ray Imaging Centre The University's dedicated centre for CT is a unique integrated resource for advanced 3D imaging. µ-VIS offers 25 years' experience and the expertise of over 40 academic staff. Student design studios and workshops These allow students to design, create and test ideas. Equipment includes laser cutters, 3D printers and computer facilities for design and simulation work. Engineering Design and Manufacturing Centre The Engineering Design and Manufacturing Centre (EDMC) are staffed by technical experts and support research, teaching and enterprise activities.
