Established in March 2019, the University India Centre functions as a living bridge connecting world-leading scientists, policy experts and key stakeholders from Southampton and India to resolve critical global challenges and find evidence-based policy solutions for inclusive growth and sustainable development. It follows the University’s triple helix model to collaborate and accelerate impact through innovations in high quality research, enterprise, education and knowledge exchange.

We deliver evidence-based solutions and unlock opportunities for high-level policy change in India, UK and globally.

I am proud to see progress made over the five years since the inauguration our India Centre, and its successful engagement and equitable partnerships with a broad range of Indian higher education institutions, union and state governments, NGOs and industry across the sub-continent. Looking forward over the next five years, the University’s India Centre will play a pivotal role in forming a living bridge connecting our Southampton and Delhi campuses, supporting taking the bilateral relations between our two nations to new heights across all aspects of the triple helix of education, research and enterprise.
