I teach eighteenth-century literature, and I’m interested in the recovery of early women’s writing, the politics of gardens, the cultural history of nature, and the problems of pleasure in eighteenth-century Britain, France and North America.
I teach 18th and 19th-century literature in the department, and specialise in Jane Austen and women writers in Britain and France. As Admissions Tutor for the department, I’m always interested in hearing from prospective students – do get in touch!
I teach Creative Writing at all levels. I'm interested in experimental and genre fiction, short stories and online writing. I'm also focusing more and more on writing as activism.
