Kate has over 20 years’ experience working within a technical role with her key areas of expertise being stem cell culture, tissue culture, microscopy and blood processing.
Kate Murawski White
Laboratory manager
Kate has worked for the University of Southampton for 17 years in a technical role and has extensive experience in Cell culture, Histology, Molecular biology and blood processing.
Nikki Graham
Senior lab technician
Nikki has over 20 years’ experience managing the DNA bank facility within HDH, supporting numerous research projects. She has extensive knowledge in DNA extraction, RNA extraction and sample processing.
Chris Gelauf
Senior lab technician
Chris is a registered scientist and specialises in Gas Chromatography, what Chris doesn’t know about GC isn’t worth knowing! Chris is also experienced in blood processing.
James Shepherd
Senior lab technician
James has been a technician with the University for 9 years and has a wide range of skills including PCR, running the Bioanalyser and equipment maintenance. He also manages the HDH stores facility.
