About
I have a background is in Anthropology (UNC, Argentina 2018) and Digital Visual Cultures (MSc ISCTE-IUL Lisbon, 2020). My research interests are environmental imaging, climate change geopolitics, remote sensing and image practices. I work from material culture and image studies, blue humanities, and media theory.
I’m currently a PhD student at the Winchester School of Art, and part of the Intelligent Oceans PhD programme, funded by Leverhulme Trust. My Ph.D project studies the area of ocean observation from an anthropological perspective. I look at networked images, online platforms, machine vision and artificial intelligence as key elements through which the ocean becomes a visual space in contemporary science and environmental governance.
