Project overview
A project that encourages writers to embed climate solutions into their stories, or write stories that showcase what a sustainable society might look like. Green Stories has run 20 free writing competitions with prizes since its inception in 2018, sponsored by a number of organisations - see https://www.greenstories.org.uk/aboutus/. This has resulted in several publications – see https://habitatpress.com.
Green Stories has also worked with Bafta, Rubber Republic and Albert on a project #ClimateCharacters which explores the impact of fictional characters on behaviour, see https://www.greenstories.org.uk/climatecharacters/
An associated 'theatre-as-education' project part-funded by The British Academy has resulted in an interactive play 'Murder in the Citizens' Jury' set in a citizens' assembly on climate.
