Cancer B-Cell Group

Data services

Collection, integration, and management of diverse data streams.

Our data team focuses on the collection, integration, and management of diverse data streams. Our robust framework and infrastructure are designed to handle the various types of data generated by our group and collaborators.

Our strong ties with the Clinical Informatics Research Unit (CIRU) allow us to concentrate on projects that foster safer data sharing and access between clinical and research domains. Our innovative approaches to clinical data extraction, transformation, and integration with other research data have resulted in the development of a bespoke data repository and research platform using BC|Platforms software. This platform and its integration pipelines aim to enhance the quality and quantity of clinical data available to the Cancer B-cell group, simplifying the task of obtaining clean, well-curated data from clinical care services transparently. These efforts serve as an exemplar for the ECRIN-M3 shared research repository and the emerging Wessex region secure data environment.

We also provide data analysis services covering disciplines from medical statistics to bioinformatics analyses, with a primary focus on predicting the structure and post-translational modifications of the BCR from immunoglobulin gene sequencing.

We are invested in the development of software and tools to broaden the accessibility and applicability of our work.

Our ultimate goal is to streamline the process of data extraction, integration, and analysis, accelerating the pace of research and discovery in the field of cancer B-cell research.
