Ece is a postgraduate researcher at the University of Southampton. She is currently pursuing her PhD in ‘Development of Maritime Arbitration and Establishment of Maritime Arbitration Center in Middle East Countries` funded by the Republic of Turkey Ministry of National Education.

Ece completed her Bachelor’s and Master`s degree in Law at the Istanbul University (Turkey). She is also a qualified lawyer based in Turkey worked in several reputable law firms and she worked as a law specialist at the Turkish Republic of Ministry of Treasury and Finance General Directorate of Financial Markets and Foreign Exchange.
She has one published book named `Right to Share in Joint Ownership and the Limitation of This Right` and two articles named `Postponement of the General Assembly Meeting as per TCC Art. 42` and `Distance Contracts in Consumer Law and Comparison of the Right of Withdrawal with Other Consumer Contracts` also she is co-author of `A response to the Law Commission’s consultation paper Review of the Arbitration Act` with Prof. Dr. Andrea Lista, Dr. Stephanie Law, Dr. Michail Risvas and Prof. Dr. Johanna Hjamalarsson.
