Epifanios is a PhD student at the UKRI Centre for Doctoral Training in Machine Intelligence for Nano-Electronic Devices and Systems (MINDS), supervised by Prof. David Thomas and Dr. Danesh Tarapore. He is a member of the Cyber Physical Systems (CPS) and Agents, Interaction & Complexity (AIC) research groups. His research project investigates potential methods for enabling training of machine learning models on resource-constrained systems.

Before joining the University of Southampton, Epifanios obtained his Bachelor’s degree with First-Class Honours in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Newcastle University in 2020. During his undergraduate studies, he discovered his interest in identifying ways for performing computations efficiently on Real-time Embedded Systems while working on the implementation of a digital audio effects unit for his third-year project.
