Julio is a postgraduate research student based in Southampton Education School at the University of Southampton. Julio’s research focuses on understanding the processes of professionalisation in different labour groups in modern societies. He is particularly interested in mapping the development of the socio-historical and political dimensions and the implications of these processes in constructing individual identities and public policy. He is also interested in environmental research, particularly in areas where social theories and methodologies can support ecological research, with specific attention on biodiversity conservation and climate change adaptation.
