About
Emma began working at SHTAC as a Research Fellow in August 2021.
Emma contributes to the production of Technology Assessment Reports for NICE, including single technology appraisals (STAs) and diagnostic technology appraisals (DARs).
She has worked at the Centre for Reviews and Dissemination (CRD) and the Nordic Cochrane Centre, where she carried out her PhD concerning the use of clinical study reports as a data source for systematic reviews to overcome dissemination bias and poor reporting of clinical trials. After completing her PhD, she joined the School of Primary Care, Population Sciences and Medical Education at the University of Southampton, conducting and leading a variety of evidence synthesis projects to inform the development of complex health interventions.
