About

Ruomeng is an Associate Professor within the Sustainable Electronics Technologies group, which is part of Electronics and Computer Science at the University of Southampton. He completed his PhD in nanoscale memristors at Southampton in 2015. Following his PhD, he was awarded an EPSRC Doctoral Prize Research Fellowship to work on functional chalcogenides and metal oxides with particular focus on their application in novel non-volatile memory and neuromorphic computing.

In 2018, he obtained his lectureship in the University of Southampton and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2023. He has published over 100 journal and conference papers and is the PI/Co-I in 6 UKRI funded research projects.
