About the Imaging and microscopy facilities
The facility houses both the Imaging and Microscopy Centre and the Advanced Photonics labs.
Together, we offer a wide range of imaging methods including:
- confocal microscopy
- CARS Raman spectroscopy
- atomic force microscopy
- continuous wave
- multiphoton light-sheet microscopy
We cater for a broad range of research requirements, from internal university users which include those from biological sciences, medicine, health sciences, The National Oceanographic Centre, engineering, optoelectronics and hybrid biodevices. We also welcome users from industry and other institutions.
We have a fully-featured prep room that is equipped with tissue culture equipment, specimen storage solutions and histology prep equipment.
