Project overview
Arts Council grant to develop, produce and present an ambitious large-scale synchronized digital video piece on the theme of internal
and external environments, the tree inside us and the tree outside. The work, ‘The Winter Tree’ take the form of
projected dendritic, branching-forms, onto semi-translucent screens, exploring ideas of how the dendritic-form in
our bodies’ the neuron, reflects/mirrors, branching-forms in nature. The project would look at the most current
research on the understanding of the neuron, revisiting my acclaimed work Magic Forest, exhibited internationally
since 2002, facilitating a complete transfer of my practice to digital.
