Research project

Mobilisation and Get-Out-The-Vote Field Experiments

Project overview

What interventions can mobilise citizens to become voters?

This research project investigates the effectiveness of mobilisation and Get-Out-The-Vote (GOTV) strategies through field experiments (randomised control trails) conducted in collaboration with UK political parties, such as the Liberal Democrats, and non-partisan organisations like People's Vote.

By testing various canvassing techniques—including face-to-face outreach, digital messaging, and direct mail—the project aims to evaluate their impact on voter turnout and political engagement. The project employs rigorous experimental methods to assess which interventions are most effective in different electoral contexts. Findings will contribute to understanding voter behaviour, informing campaign strategies, and enhancing democratic participation in the UK.
