The Sparus II AUV and advanced INS

The Sparus II autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) can operate at a maximum depth of 200m.

Its advanced INS positioning locks onto the seafloor using reflected sound waves to increase navigational accuracy. It also offers excellent (decimetre) data positioning, opening up a range of new applications.
