The School of Electronics and Computer Science and the Centre for Machine Intelligence are proud to support the Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Machine Intelligence for Nano-Electronic Devices and Systems (MINDS) at the University of Southampton.
MINDS was funded as part of the UK Governments AI Sector deal with support from the Office for AI and BEIS, totalling £100M to train 1000 PhD students in AI and Machine Intelligence from 2019 to 2024.
The MINDS CDT will recruit 12 students per year and will develop and nurture the next generation of technology pioneers who will have the skills, assets and network to innovate at the Artificial Intelligence and Electronics interface to enable systems with beneficial human impact.
