Our group, currently under build-up across the School of Electronics and the Institute for Life Sciences, aims at using nanotechnology techniques to investigate the role of bioelectricity and electromechanics beyond electrical excitability in biological systems at the microscale. Our mission is to improve our understanding of their fundamental mechanisms of action and identify novel biomarkers to unlock a range of applications in critical areas of medical research, starting with, but not limited to, cell signalling in cancer.
