About
Masashi is a Lecturer at School of Ocean and Earth Science at the University of Southampton. He is interested in investigating coastal or ocean wave dynamics and sediment transport induced by currents and waves to preserve coastal environments and understand the risk of coastal natural hazards based on field surveys, laboratory experiments, and numerical simulations. Before joining the University of Southampton, he was a Research Fellow at the Earth Observatory of Singapore at Nanyang Technological University. He received his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Tohoku University in 2019.
