Biography
Caglar Ozturk graduated in 2013 with an MS degree in Biomedical Engineering at Cleveland State University and conducted his master’s thesis research in Spine Research Lab at Cleveland Clinic, where he developed his interest in medical device design and biomechanics research. He completed his PhD degree in 2018 at Koc University on developing mechanical circulatory assist devices for the treatment of patients with advanced heart failure. He then became a postdoctoral associate at the Institute for Medical Engineering and Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology supported by Fulbright Postdoctoral Research Award. He joined the University of Southampton as a Lecturer in 2024.
