Dr Kamran Malikov is an Associate Professor in Accounting at Southampton Business School in the University of Southampton.
Kamran’s research interests include capital market-based accounting research, earnings quality and earnings management, corporate events (e.g., M&As, Debt Covenants), and corporate governance. Kamran has a growing and consistent national and international reputation in accounting and finance as supported by his increasing involvement in publication and peer review of prestigious international journals.
Kamran has published papers in top ranked peer-reviewed international journals (ABS 4* and 3*), such as Journal of Corporate Finance, European Accounting Review, Accounting and Business Research, British Accounting Review, Journal of European Finance, Accounting Forum, Journal of Business Research, among others.
His teaching interests cut across Accounting, Finance, and Econometrics, having developed and taught modules such as Introduction to Accounting; Financial Reporting Analysis; Management Accounting; Corporate Finance; and Research Methods to undergraduate and postgraduate accounting and finance students. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
