Current research
Augustine’s research interest lies in the intersection of strategy and international business, with a special interest in micro and macro-level analyses of institutions and firms’ strategies in emerging markets. In addition, topics on entrepreneurship, SME management and corporate social responsibility are of interest to him. In advancing his research in these areas, he focuses on emerging markets, particularly those in Africa.

Biography
Augustine obtained his PhD in management from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice (Italy), and his master’s and bachelor’s degrees are from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (Ghana). Before joining Southampton Business School in 2022, Augustine was a teaching and research associate at the Institute for International Business, Vienna University of Economics and Business (Austria). Augustine has published in journals such as Organization Science and Journal of International Management. He has also presented papers at international conferences, including annual meetings of the Academy of Management and Academy of International Business.
