Katherine Theobald Postgraduate research student in the Dynamics research group and Transport research group at the University of Southampton, Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences. She is currently studying for a PhD, researching the effects of vibration on medical products transported by drone.
2019-2022 - Ramboll UK - Senior Engineer
Katherine worked as a Senior Engineer on a variety of projects as a design and project manager as well as in a technical capacity as a member of delivery teams. Her technical capabilities include drainage design, highway design and safety assessment. She works on large multidisciplinary projects for clients such as Legal and General, the Falkland Island Government and HS2. She is also actively engaged in business wide initiatives focusing on digital development and climate action.
2018-2018 - Ramboll India - Engineer / REC Liaison Officer
Katherine spent 6 months seconded to the Ramboll Engineering Centre, Gurgaon India. Her role as Liaison officer involved the coordination of offshored projects between UK and Indian teams. Her responsibilities included project management, technical guidance and training as well as working in the delivery teams as required.
2016-2018 - Ramboll UK - Graduate Engineer
Katherine worked on many of projects as an Engineer including the HS2 Enabling Works North in both supporting the project management and control team and as a member of several delivery teams. Her responsibilities included highway and drainage design, developing project reporting pro forma and assisting work package managers.
2012-2015 - Interserve Construction - Vacation Placement Engineer
Katherine worked on a variety of projects as a site engineer within the strategic infrastructure division. Her responsibilities included site inductions, surveying, setting out, quality control, quality assurance, asset monitoring and environmental monitoring.
