Biography
As a BSc and MSc neuroscience graduate, I am really looking forward to starting my PhD project, which focuses on Parkinson’s Disease, as it will allow me to further explore and understand this exciting field.
I’ve always had a keen interest in neurodegenerative diseases and dementia and the biological pathways that drive neuronal damage and memory loss. I am mostly intrigued by how inflammatory molecules and inflammatory responses are involved in the pathogenesis of nervous system disorders, especially in Parkinson’s Disease. Parkinson’s Disease is an incredibly debilitating disease affecting people globally. Therefore, the opportunity to contribute to research identifying possible mechanisms behind the disease pathology and therefore potentially identify a novel therapy target is of utmost importance to me.
