About
Jamie is a PhD student in neuroimmunology at the University of Southampton. He completed his BSc (with honours) in Biomedical Science at the University of Kent in 2019, followed by an MSc in Cell Biology at the University of Kent in 2021, in which he investigated how mitochondrial dysfunction influenced lipid droplet regulation – using Saccharomyces cerevisiae as a model organism. Jamie joined the DGN lab to purse his research interests in immunology, cell signalling and neuroscience, through investigating the role of 5-Hydroxytryptamine receptor subtypes in the modulation of cell-specific immune function.
