Biography
I am a Senior Teaching Fellow in the Centre for Higher Education Practice (CHEP).
I was awarded my PhD from the University of Southampton in 2022, which focused on the second language development of university-level learners of French before and after a period of study abroad. I subsequently worked as a Teaching Fellow in Applied Linguistics (TESOL) in the department of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics from October 2022 - October 2024, before joining the Assessment Consultancy team in CHEP.
I am interested in innovative assessment practices, particularly those utilising (iterative) formative assessment and peer review. I'm also very interested in exploring how we can work to make our approaches to assessment more accessible and inclusive.
