Keagan Smith is the Supervising Solicitor based in the Global Legal Clinic within the Law School. He is also a practising solicitor. Prior to joining the Law School, Keagan was an in-house solicitor with the University's Legal Services.
Keagan’s main areas of expertise are access to justice, commercial law, and Clinical Legal Education.
Keagan Smith joined the University of Southampton Global Legal Clinic in November 2024. Prior to joining the faculty of law Keagan worked as a Legal Intern within the University of Southampton’s Legal Services from 2017-2020. Following the successful completion of his postgraduate diploma in law, Keagan secured a training contract within Legal Services where he assisted with Employment, Data Protection, Civil Litigation and Commercial matters. In August 2022 Keagan was admitted as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England in Wales and took up the position of Commercial Solicitor where he assisted in drafting and negotiating research collaborations, international student exchanges, purchase and sale of specialised University equipment and the recovery of University debts.
