Leo a is Senior Lecturer in Family Law within Southampton Law School at the University of Southampton.
Current Teaching:
LAWS 2027 - Family Law: Children, Parents and the State. Year 2 LLB Optional module which focuses on the legal regulation of family life, in particular the extent to which relationships between parents and children should be seen as private matters free from State interference.
LAWS 3160 - Family Law: State Regulation of Adults' Relationship Formation and Breakdown. Year 3 Optional Module which focuses on the legal regulation of adults' relationship formation and breakdown.
LAWS 1023/2037 - Legal Skills - Core Year 1 module designed to develop the range of intellectual, practical and transferable skills needed to study law.
After previously working in private practice as a solicitor, Leo joined Southampton Law School in 2005 as a lecturer and the Undergraduate Admissions Tutor. She was promoted to Principal Teaching Fellow in 2012. In addition to her teaching responsibilities Leo is the LLB Year 2 Co-ordinator and the Law School's Senior Tutor.
