About
I joined the University in 1996, and continue to work as a Clinical Scientist (Audiology) in the Auditory Implant Service. My experience lies in cochlear implantation, both as a clinician and a researcher. I completed a PhD in 2016, having investigated pitch perception in cochlear implant users. I have also worked on music and cochlear implant projects, including the development of the Interactive Music Awareness Programme (www.morefrommusic.org).
I have an interest in diagnostic testing of cochlear implants, motivated by a desire to improve hearing performance through improved management of issues which can arise with devices after a period of use.
I enjoy working with colleagues and patients and seeing the joy that comes through improved hearing.
