Biography
I studied a Biochemisty BSc course in the University of Southampton from 1984 -1987 and was awarded a Croucher Foundation PhD studentship after gaining a first class degree to study the oxidation pathway of an acidophilic methylotroph.
Upon finishing the PhD degree (1990), my interest was moved into the cancer research area and worked for Prof Martin Glennie in Tenovus Research Laboratory as a research fellow on various cancer surface antigens and their properties. Since then I have worked in the antibody and vaccine group (AVG) within the cancer science division in the university and have concentrated on the production of therapeutic antibodies in view of cancer treatment.
