Dr Eloise Monger is an experienced Nurse Educationalist. She is an expert in nursing simulated practice and the use of novel technologiesin Health Care Professional Education. Her doctoral thesis 'Video-View-Point: video analysis to elicit tacit indicators of student nurse competence.' combined simulation and technology to develop a novel research method to develop our understanding of the use of simulation to enhance compettence acquisition. She was the UK Principal Investigator for the Horizon 2020 funded SmartNurse Project, working in partnership with the Institute of Web Science, the German Institute for Artificial Intelligence and the University of Oxford. Her clinical career as a Senior Intensive Care Nurse and her expertise in novel methodological approaches underpins her reaearch and teaching of research methods, simulated practice , critical care, non-sedated ventialtion , resuscitation and recognition of deterioration. She is also the Programme Lead for the Graduate Entry Nursing Programmes and UK Member of the International Graduate Entry Nursing Network
