Teaching
I teach modules across all student levels at the University, including Systems Design and Computing, Advanced Sensors and Condition Monitoring, and Introduction to Advanced Mechanical Engineering Science. I supervise both individual and group design projects and am particularly enthusiastic about incorporating my research and industry experience in medical devices into my teaching.

Biography
Dr. Jinghua Tang is a Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He graduated with First-Class Honors in BEng and MSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bristol (2009–2013). He obtained his PhD from the University of Southampton in 2018, focusing on socket interface biomechanics for lower limb amputees. Following his PhD, he has conducted cutting-edge interdisciplinary research across interface sensors, functional materials, musculoskeletal biomechanics, and assistive technologies, with support from EPSRC, MRC, Innovate UK, and NIHR.
