Having successfully completed this module you will be able to:
- Work in partnership with children and their families to develop child centred plans of care based on a nursing assessment and models which reflect nursing theories and practices.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skill in communication with children and their carers to gather information to inform psychological and physical assessment of health and wellbeing.
- Apply knowledge of child development, human anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology to assessment findings to identify and distinguish baseline normal and variances with children and young people.
- Demonstrate understanding of how the physical assessment of body systems over the duration of childhood informs the comprehensive assessment of children and young people's health and wellbeing.
