Module overview

This module is designed to help you in the design and development of high-quality educational provision. It will draw on a range of established theory and research evidence in the areas of educational design, the construction and sequencing of learning as well as pedagogical theory and theories of learner cognition to help inform the design process and design content.

Completion of this module will also allow you to consider how values of equality, diversity and inclusion (ED&I) can be integrated into educational design to help support a wide range of students in the learning process.

Work on educational development can support you in providing evidence of professional practice such as in building your personal portfolio to evidence the dimensions of the UKPSF foe Associate Fellowship or Fellowship of AdvanceHE.

Like module one, you will have the opportunity to consider some of these themes at a two-day learning retreat at the beginning of semester two, offered in person or online depending on your circumstances. This will allow you to continue to develop your professional networks
