Module overview
This module is an opportunity for you to take your burgeoning skills in humanities data science and apply them in an industry-based placement. The placement offers the opportunity for you to develop practical employability skills in relevant industry contexts, including the opportunities and challenges for applying humanities data science in real-world professional situations.

- Analyse data and information using a combination of data science techniques and disciplinary knowledge from the humanities

Syllabus
In addition to the supervised placement work, taught sessions will include:
- Critical reflexivity for professional development
- Engaging with personal development needs analysis
- Leadership and engagement in professional contexts
Learning and Teaching
Teaching and learning methods
Students will engage in an industry-based placement during the semester; they will have a personal supervisor from the placement and will be further guided by the module tutor(s). Students will also benefit from collaborative seminars, wherein they will engage with writing reflectively, peer discussion and experience-sharing, and develolping transferable skills for enhancing employability.
