Having successfully completed this module you will be able to:
- Produce scientific hypotheses and critically evaluate evidence in support of them
- Use library and other IT facilities to access and organise scientific information
- Produce a dissertation of about 9,000 words on an agreed research topic
Syllabus
This module is designed for students who are taking an undergraduate or postgraduate Masters degree. After discussion with an assigned member of staff the student will select a topic and discuss a specific area of the topic with an appropriate member of staff who will then supervise the project.

Assessment
Assessment strategy
Assessment will be based on a preliminary summary of the work to be undertaken and a final dissertation of around 7,000 words.
