Module overview
To ‘run in tandem’ with your Final Major Project this module encourages a ‘deep dive’ analysis into the unique characteristics of your final project, alongside a critical and contextually informed communication package that captivates and engages your intended audience. Guided by leading professionals in fashion theory and fashion communications you are encouraged to orchestrate a carefully structured narrative in your choice of medium such as portfolio, film, look book and social media to name but a few. Your output will be supported by a written analysis.

Syllabus
Indicative content for this module normally includes:
Developed in conjunction with and in support of your Final Major Project this module asks you to reflect upon the signature elements of the project and how these reference bigger ideas such as Fashion’s connection to history, society, politics, technological change, injustice, the future, race, gender, sexuality… You will consider the context in which you are practicing and articulate what your project is ‘saying’, to ‘whom’ and ‘why’ in a written analysis and professionally presented portfolio. Your portfolio may reflect interdisciplinarity, i.e. the interplay of fashion film, art based fashion, fashion graphics and so forth, depending on the nature of the audience you are focusing upon.
Although the work undertaken in this module may resemble work produced in previous years, the quality, level of finish, contextual awareness and purpose will be markedly higher and showcased to a professional audience.
