Our artificial intelligence (AI) in management course offers you a unique range of skills, which will help you adapt to an evolving business landscape.
Designed with current and future AI trends in mind, this course will put you at the forefront of technological advancements.

No previous AI knowledge required
This course is suitable for students from a diverse range of academic backgrounds, including social sciences, humanities, business and engineering. You do not need a comprehensive knowledge of AI to apply for this course.
It's also suitable for students from an AI background who want to build their knowledge of management, business and entrepreneurship.

Dr Evangelos Syrigos leads this course. He is an accomplished academic in strategic management and specialises in digital transformation and AI, corporate strategy and innovation management. His current research focus is in the intersection of entrepreneurship, strategy and innovation.

Course structure
This course runs for 12 months. The first 9 months focus on taught study, divided into 2 semesters. The final 3 months are dedicated to your final project.
Semester 1 overview
In this semester, you'll be taught the foundations of understanding artificial intelligence and its role in business and key management skills and strategies. This is covered across 3 core modules.
You'll also have a choice of optional modules that will allow you to gain specialist knowledge in areas like digital information systems, consultancy and corporate security.
Semester 2 overview
Your second semester will further explore entrepreneurship and the ethics and sustainability of AI. You'll have a further choice of optional modules to continue specialising your knowledge.

Fees for a year's study:
- UK students pay £15,800.
- EU and international students pay £31,500.
Deposit
If you're an international student on a full-time course, we'll ask you to pay £2,000 of your tuition fees in advance, as a deposit.

We’ll ask you to pay a £50 application assessment fee if you’re applying for a postgraduate taught course.
This is an extra one-off charge which is separate to your tuition fees and is payable per application. It covers the work and time it takes us to assess your application. You’ll be prompted to pay when you submit your application which won’t progress until you've paid.
If you're a current or former University of Southampton student, or if you’re applying for certain scholarships, you will not need to pay the fee.
