Project overview
Identifying predictors of outcomes following PAE.
Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is one of the most prevalent disorders in older men and has a substantial impact on quality of life. Recently, prostatic artery Embolization (PAE) has gained popularity with good overall outcomes and shorter hospital stays. However, some patients do not experience improvement but are at risk of developing complications and we cannot predict who they will be. Our approach entails leveraging the power of Machine Learning (ML) to accurately predict PAE outcomes. This technology would help both clinicians and patients in terms of counselling and decision-making, laying the groundwork for the era of personalised care.
