GAIN is an interdisciplinary community of scholars studying gender and inequalities at Southampton. We work with relevant local, national and international organisations to undertake research of real-world value.

Established to explore and address the pressing issues of gender and inequalities in social science, GAIN brings together scholars from across the university and beyond to foster collaborative and impactful research.

Founded in 2018, the Centre explores structural, societal, legal and regulatory issues associated with gender discrimination, raises awareness, investigates the causes and seeks better solutions.
