Kate Tomkins is a postgraduate researcher in the Sociology, Social Policy and Criminology department at the University of Southampton and is part of the South Coast Doctoral Training Partnership (ESRC). She is pursuing a PhD focused on far-right accelerationism within prepper groups on social media platforms. Her research explores the semiotic nature of prepper content and user responses through a mixed-method critical realist approach.
