Yuting Zhang is a Research Fellow in the Department of Civil, Maritime, and Environmental Engineering at the University of Southampton. He is part of the Royal Academy of Engineering (RAEng) Chair Centre of Excellence for Intelligent & Resilient Ocean Engineering (IROE), where his research focuses on machine learning-based site characterization using geotechnical and geophysical data.
Yuting earned his Bachelor's degree from Wuhan University, China, where he also completed an MPhil in Geotechnical Engineering. In 2024, he received his PhD from the University of Newcastle, Australia, focusing on ‘Probabilistic calibration of resistance factors for piling designs’.
