About

Mollie is a PhD candidate in the Faculty of Social Sciences, specialising in the politics of criminal justice reform. Her research focuses on understanding the persistence of the prison crisis and exploring ways to secure public support and political will necessary to implement substantive, long-term solutions.

Mollie's broader academic interests lie at the intersection of law, social psychology, and criminal justice. She is particularly interested in how these disciplines can be integrated to analyse resistance to prison reform and opposition to offender rehabilitation.

Looking to the future, Mollie aims to pursue a research career within academia, the third sector, or the Ministry of Justice (or, with good fortune, all three!), contributing to meaningful advancements in criminal justice reform.
