Inamullah is a researcher at the University of Southampton with a keen focus on artificial intelligence and its applications in healthcare, particularly in medical imaging and genomics. Born in a remote region of northern Pakistan near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, he faced significant educational and societal challenges in an area with limited access to formal schooling and ongoing socio-political instability. Despite these hurdles, he pursued his education with determination, driven by a passion for learning and discovery.
After moving to Pakistan’s capital, he completed a BSc in Physics, Mathematics, and Computer Science, followed by an MSc in Computer Science. His academic journey culminated in an MS in Computer Science with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence. During this time, he developed a strong interest in medical imaging, contributing to the field with published research on retinal image analysis and its application in diagnosing diabetic retinopathy.
Currently pursuing his doctoral studies at the University of Southampton's School of Electronics and Computer Science (ECS), Inam has transitioned into exploring interdisciplinary methods that integrate advanced computational techniques with biomedical data. His work aims to address complex challenges in healthcare, focusing on the development of non-invasive approaches for disease detection and risk assessment.
Inam’s research combines his technical expertise with a commitment to advancing personalized medicine, leveraging insights from imaging, clinical, and molecular data. His work reflects a deep dedication to making meaningful contributions to the intersection of AI and global health.
