Dr Matthew Sinnicks is an Associate Professor based in the Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour Department within Southampton Business School at the University of Southampton. His current teaching and research focus on topics in business ethics.

Current research
Matthew’s recent research has focused on the relationship between professional ethics and ordinary morality, the apparent analogy between the competitive ethics of business and sport, Adorno’s critical theory as it relates to questions about good and meaningful work, and applications of the work of Alasdair MacIntyre to organisations.

Prior to joining Southampton in 2022, Matthew worked at the University of Reading, the University of York, and Northumbria University.
