Melike has taught the following postgraduate modules:

She also involved in delivering several training courses at professional level, including Graph Sampling, Survey Sampling, Introduction to Statistical Methods, Analysis of Variance, and Cluster Analysis
She worked as teaching assistant during her PhD for several under- and postgraduate modules, including Regression Modelling, Multivariate Analysis, Generalised Linear Models, Quantitative Methods I&II, Data Linkage: from Theory to Practice, and Introduction to Quantitative Methods
Biography
Melike has joined the University as a lecturer in 2022. She obtained her MSc and PhD degrees in Social Statistics from the University of Southampton, in 2012 and 2016, respectively. She has a BSc degree in Mathematics that she obtained from the Middle Easy Technical University in Ankara, Turkey.
Before joining the University, Melike worked at Statistics Norway as a researcher in the Division of Methods, the position of which she currently undertakes on a part-time basis. Melike started her career in official statistics as an assistant expert in the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) in Ankara, Turkey, where she experienced in sampling design and selection, and calculation of survey weights for Business and Agricultural Surveys. She also involved in a national wide project, the aim of which was to construct an Address Based Population Registration System, as overseeing the field work in a district in Istanbul. While working at Statistics Norway, she has enhanced her knowledge about official statistics. She has developed new estimation methodologies for Norwegian Labour Force Survey and Road Transport Survey. She has also worked as methodological consultant for Keep Norway Beautiful and TurkStat.
