Professor Di Luo is a Visiting Professor at the University of Southampton. Di supervises PhD and MSc students at the Southampton Business School. Di is Associate Dean of People & Culture, Professor (Chair) of Finance and Economics within Business School at the University of Dundee. Di is the Associate Editor of the Journal of Sustainable Finance and Investment.

Current research
Professor Di Luo is currently engaged in research projects on sustainability, ambiguity, and cryptocurrencies. In the realm of sustainability, my focus is on managing environmental risks and promoting sustainable practices. In the domain of ambiguity, the focus lies on understanding the impact of ambiguity and risk on financial markets and corporate finance dynamics. This entails examining the complexities of decision-making under uncertainty, as well as exploring the implications of ambiguity on investment strategies and market behaviours. Regarding cryptocurrency, Di's research delves into the underlying financial market mechanisms of cryptocurrencies.

Di obtained the HEA Fellowship and PGCAP during his time at University of Southampton. Di supervises MSc and PhD students at Southampton Business School. He was the module leader of MANG6142 Introduction to Portfolio Management and Exchange Traded Derivatives and MANG6018 Derivatives Securities Analysis.

Biography
Di completed his PhD in Finance from Nottingham University Business School, he also holds a MSc in Finance and a Bachelor of Finance from Nankai University, China. He has published in Review of Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance, European Financial Management, Journal of Financial Research, Financial Review, Journal of Business Research, Journal of International Financial Markets Institutions and Money, and European Journal of Finance. His research interests are asset pricing, market microstructure, behaviour finance, ESG, Fintech, and corporate finance. Di was Associate Professor of Finance, MSc Risk and Finance programme leader, Faculty Social Science Concordat Champion, and EDI champion of South Coast Doctoral Training Program (SCDTP) at the University of Southampton.
