About
Rachele is a Principal Teaching Fellow in Southampton Education School working in the field of teacher education and development. She works to support pre-service and early career history teachers as they learn the complex disciplinary and professional knowledge needed for a successful and rewarding career in teaching.
Having been Associate Programme Director and Programme Director for the Secondary PGCE, Rachele's role now is Director of Initial Teacher Education. In this role, Rachele works extensively with schools and school leaders across Southampton city, Hampshire, Wiltshire and Dorset.
Rachele is passionate about supporting and developing teachers at all stages of their careers and strongly believes in the civic duty to support our local and national education agenda.
Rachele is a Member of the History Teacher Educator Network (HTEN) and the Russell Group ITE group. She has made contributions to the Historical Association annual conference, TEAN, UCET and the Westminster Education Forum.
