The purpose of the module is to develop students’ ability to undertake research in human geography by building on what they have learnt related to methods and research design in GGES2018 and practice-based learning on a fieldtrip and associated lectures, practicals and tutorial teaching. The module will ensure they have practical research experiences that ready them for GGES3012 Geography Research Project (dissertation) Through the practical experience of undertaking group research project as part of a fieldcourse, a range of research skills including design, methodology and data analysis will be learnt. Travel, accommodation and food costs are paid for by the School.
