The content of this module will typically draw on a range of research, theory and policy to consider contemporary perspectives on teaching and learning practices, such as:
- Philosophical perspectives on the purpose of education and how that might influence teaching and learning practices;
- Personal perceptions about learning and teaching;
- Perspectives and frameworks of how children and adults learn and how that might impact teaching approaches;
- Theory and research on what is a 'good' teacher;
- The nature, theory and practice of teaching and learning in formal and informal learning environments.
